All Stocksafe Access Grids are manufactured with mounting brackets for side wings.  Wing sets are available to suit as an optional extra.

Stocksafe Light Farm Duty Access Grid

The Stocksafe Light Farm Duty Access Grid has been designed for on-farm use where maximum vehicle weight is not in excess of 2.5 tonnes per wheel, that is, heavy farm machinery or trucks of 12 tonnes gross vehicle weight.

The Stocksafe Light Farm Duty Access Grid is recommended for normal farm use where truck loads are limited and infrequent.

The Stocksafe Light Farm Duty Access Grid is designed to meet AS2867 "Farm Structures".  This implies:

  • On-farm use - not public roads or general public access;
  • Heavy loads, infrequent and not at highway speeds;
  • Heavy vehicles, freight only - no buses etc.

Stocksafe Heavy Farm Duty Access Grid

The Stocksafe Heavy Farm Duty Access Grid has also been designed for on-farm use however unlike the Stocksafe Light Farm Duty Access Grid, wheel loads up to 7 tonnes can be withstood on an occasional basis.  This corresponds to a full 42.5 tonne highway truck.

The Heavy Farm Duty Access Grid is ideal for on-farm situations where only a minimal number of fully loaded truck movements occur each year (eg. fully loaded wool or wheat trucks).

The Stocksafe Heavy Farm Duty Access Grid takes the '92 Austroads T44 and W70 static and dynamic load specifications.

Fatigue is not considered in the design as private farm heavy vehicle movements would not be expected to exceed 200 each year.

Stocksafe Highway Duty Access Grid

The Stocksafe Highway Duty Access Grid is designed to suit the needs of Local Government, Grain Boards, Public Abattoirs and other Institutions where strict compliance with Austroads requirements are likely to be a condition of funding.

The Stocksafe Highway Duty Access Grid is also highly suitable for private establishments such as Cotton Gins, Feedlots and Private Abattoirs, where a large number of heavy vehicle movements occur each year.

The Stocksafe Highway Duty Access Grid is designed to comply with the '92 Austroads Design Code.  T44 and W70 loadings, dynamic factors, load (ie. safety) factors and fatigue considerations are all in accordance with the Design Code.

The Stocksafe Highway Duty Access Grid design can be certified as complying fully with the '92 Austroads Bridge Design Code and AS4100 Steel Structures Code.
